We would like to cordially invite you and your company to become an integral part of the third annual “Pink Up The Pace” 5k walk/run. This event, held on October 1, 2011 in downtown the Pace 5k walk/run.
St. Augustine, will kick off October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month by uniting all those in our city—survivors, families, and friends—whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. Last years race brought together over 1200 people from our St Augustine community and surrounding areas.
All of the proceeds raised from this inaugural event have been assisting individuals to navigate the financial challenges of detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. It is our hope to grow this foundation to new levels of achievement in 2011. Currently, we are the only local organization to have funds in assisting with diagnostic testing. With your help we hope to reach our goal of raising $50,000 this year to help under-served women and men of all ages in St Johns County.
Breast cancer affects people of all ages, ethnicities, and social classes. It affects those who have protective arms to uphold them, and those who, sadly, do not. Please join us in “pinking up the pace” and make a vital difference in the lives of those women and men who need our help most.
